I have 8 years of counselling experience, working on a voluntary basis for a number of community organisations as well as my running my own private practice. I also provide a phone/skype counselling service for a medical services provider for clients located all around the globe,
During this time I have worked with a diverse range of clients, from varying age groups, cultures and backgrounds providing counselling support for issues such as abuse, anxiety, depression, fertility problems, abortion, low self esteem, stress, grief and issues around sexuality.
Some clients have requested longer term therapy to focus on working through deeper issues and childhood events, whilst others request a limited number of sessions to work through an immediate challenge. I offer flexibility with sessions focusing on what the client wishes to focus on at that particular time.
The way I work
I practice in a predominately person-centred way with the relationship at the heart of therapy and providing you with a warm, supportive, secure and confidential space to talk about how you really feel. It is my belief that by offering a non-judgmental, and authentic relationship that healing can take place.
My approach to counselling is Integrative. This means that I will work with you drawing from a variety of models of counselling to suit your individual needs to best support you in achieving positive change.
